Mr. Goldie, an Australian journalist, hits been commissioned by the Los Angeles (California) Harbour Board to investigate! the possible support from Australasia for a movement to establish a regular modern lino of steamers between Los Angeles and New Zealand and Australian ports. The Los Angeles Pacific Navigation Company will shortly send a careo steamer to Australia to test the possibilities of securing regular caigoeß. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
