FOR EPIDEMIC HELPERS

GOVERNMENT CERTIFICATE. The certificate promised by the Minister of Public Health (the Hon. u. \\. Russell) to volunteer workers in the recent epidemic has been prepared, and is now ready for issue. Applications lor certificates should be made to the secretary of the Public Health Department at Wellington. Every application' should bo supported by a letter of recommendation from a Mayor, a conn y chairman, n clergyman, a-public school headmaster or head mistress, a medical practitioner, or some other person occupying a public position. The certificate is ot amnio size. There is a conventional scroll border in red, and within the border is tho letterpress. At the head are the, Royal Arms, with the words "nonunion of New Zealand." Then the words Influenza Epidemic" in large red type, and underneath, "1918" in bold black type. The certifying words are as follow :- "This is to certify hat . «■ dered valuable servico during the epidemic as a voluntary honorary worker, and is hereby awarded the tbanta of Hw Government?' The signature of the Minister is lithographed.
