1 FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications arc for strong and squally southerly winds, and cold, showery weather generally, but heavy rain is probable in the northern and East Coast districts of the Korth Island. Barometer rise, but unsteady in the far north. Cold, unsettled weather has prevailed, ■with rain in many parts of the country.
