MR. H. A. L. FISHER'S PHILOSOPHY. Mr. Fisher, Minister of Education, in the course of a recent address, gave somo hints on how teachers could most profitably spend a holiday. Out of comp 1mniit to the season, he said, he would put his philosophy 011 the subject into fourteen points:— 1. Plan your holiday carefully, but be readv to abandon your plans on the slightest provocation. 2. Kever go north when you can go south. 11 3. A change of work 13 in itself a holi4. Never drive when you can walk, and never walk when you can ride. !i. Take short cuts if you will, but remember there is seldom time for them. G A good holiday is like eternity— there is 110 reckoning of time. •,,, 7. One of the best fruits of a holiday is a new friendship. 5. Stay where you aro happy. i). Soak yourself in the atmosphere of a new place before vou study the details. 10. The best holiday is that winch contains the largest amount of new expen- ° IT.
