As indicating the highly satisfactory relationship existing between Mr. A. J. Toogood and the staff of the Wairarapa Trading Company (erstwhilo Toogood Estate), a valedictory social and presentation took place in Foatherston last week-end, Mrs. Toogood being the recipient of a handsome silver tray, suitably inscribed. " A party of Featherston Oounty Councillors recently visited Taranaki, and in reports submitted by the chairman (Mr. A. D. M'Lcod) and engineer ,'Mr. H. F. Toogood, C.E.), it was clearly indicated that a very favourable opinion had been formed as to tar grouting methods. On the motion of Councillor Q. Donald it was decided to bring down a comprehensive scheme for permanent road construction.
