ECONOMIC CONDITIONS IN GERMANY
ATTITUDE OF THE PEOPLE. ■ London, April 4 (delayed). A White Book contains British officers' reports oh economic conditions in Germany. They all state that tho poorer people are desperately short of food, and aro unable to resist disease. The general attitude is one of injured innocence, owing to the suppression of the facts about the war. Tho number of children is now 2,500,000 below normal. Tho great scarcity of locomotives retards industrial recovery. Scarcely anyone credits the reports of the German atrocities, which should be proved to the people—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
