ENEMY ALIENS IN BRITAIN
PROVISIONS OF NEW BILL. • London, April 1 (dolayed). In tho House of Commons Mr. Edward Shortt. Home Secretary, aunounced that there were 5000 alien enemies now in Britain. Forty-ono had been releasod einco the armistice, and 20,95G repatriated. Tho now Aliens Bill, will oporate for two vears. It continues tho provision of the Aliens Restriction Act of 1914, and empowers the authorities to exclude undesirable:-, particularly those seeking to foment industrial strife.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
