HUNGARY'S EASTERN FRONTIER
A NEUTRAL ZONE PROPOSED. London, April 8. Tile Vienna correspondent of tho "Morning Post" reports that the Note submitted by General Smuts to tho Hungarian Government proposed a new line as the eastern limit for the Hungarian troops, adding that the Rumanians would be required to stand still 60 as to make a neutral zone between the two armies,, which would be occupied by troops .of tlio . four leading Entente Powers. General Smut's promised that tho arrangement would not . prejudice Hungary's territorial claims in tho peace' settlement, and that acceptance would undoubtedly lead to the raising .of the blockade. Tho Government replied that, it would ouly accept under orders. It suggested a limit much further to the east, as defined-in the November armistice. and also that the Soviet's rule in the neutral zone , must be unimpaired.! ft concluded by denouncing the solution of territorial questions according to imperialistic conquests.—Aus.-N.Z. BULGARIA ON BRINK OF BOLSHEVISM
ALARM IN RUMANIA. Berne, April 8. Rumanian., refugees state tliat Bulgaria is on the brink of Bolshevism, and is ready to declare a Soviet Republic. Rumania, is alarmed, and is mobilising additional divisions. • The population is dismayed bv tho dilatoriness of tho Allies in facing the menace to European civilisation. The Hungarians are exploiting tho situation, and aeroplanes aro showering Bolshevist leaflets upon (lie army camps, urging association with the Russian and Hungarian Soviets.— "The Times." •' ■■■ BOLSHEVIKTirT ENGLAND LONDON AND PROVINCIAL CENTRES TO BE SWEPT.
