What E«igin@@re to® to say about 1 the "IftSTER'SMIUBETTES" ' :| October 11, 1918. The Managing Director, The Tourist Motor Co., Ltd.; T „ ' ji IIA.O ilftub. The writer has to thank you for yours of the Ist inst. and tho j prompt manner in which this Carburetter was supplied. S ■ . As a preliminary report, we tell you that the Carburettor was , placcd on the J.B.C. Car, a run of 76 miles being made, including ' four stiff hills,'and.(ho f,mount of petrol consumed was 2 gallons . 7 pints. The extra speed noted was really surprising, and tho power- E on the hills was a decided improvement. Tho previous running of • ( car witll Carburetter was 17 miles to tile gallon; tho jet was . i then made smaller, witli the lesult of 19i miles to the gallon. This 1 was tho best that tho writer could obtain. On the "Master it - ! works out at practically 25V miles to the gallon, increase of 0 miles j per gallon. During the run wo found that on half acceleration the ; lever control was nut down to tho leanest mixture possible, and it' . . J is quite probable that we tould dp with a smaller distributor, and < would get more economical running 6till. The one at present in tho carburettor is marked "S." We would bo pleased if you would forward another—we do not know which way the sizes run, whether it,; ' ] would be an "R" or a "T," as there is note made t-f this in'the j instructions. I Wo would also like to ray that the "Master Carburetter you sent j us for the Sunbeam !.ar showed an increase of 11 miles per gallon, with considerably nioro lower on the hills thai tho previous car« burotter fitted to this ear. This is an astounding result.' Tours faithfully, (Signed) 11. GARBTJTT, ! Manager, Booth, Macdonald and Co,, ltd., DUNEDIN. ; AGENTS-- A, WHITAKER, Palmerston North. G.
