MAGISTRATE'S COURT

Mr. F. V. Frazer, S.M., presided over a brief sitting of the Magistrate's Court yesterday. Jacob Rasmussen, who admitted being absent without leave from his ship the 6.5. Fearless, was convicted and ordered to be placed on board the vessel. Ho was also ordered to pay 335. expenses incurred. For a breach of her prohibition order Mary Patterson was fined £3, in default 11 days' imprisonment. Four first ollendors for drunkenness ■nere convicted and fined ss. each.
