THE WESTMORELAND. the ' Federal-Shire Line steamer Westmoreland arrived at Auckland from Liverwool on Saturday evening, and anchored in the stream for medical inspection. She was declared; a, clean ship, and berthed on Sunday morning to land troops and tho New Zealand portion of her cargo from England. She made an exceptionally smart voyage from Etglaud, doing the 'trip in 34 days 17J hours actual steaming time. She left Liverpool at midnight on February 25, and met with stormy weather crossing the Atlantic .u;itil she was well south towards the tropics. This delayed her considerably, and the arrived at Panama on March 15. Coaling operations there took a few hours only, and aho sailed tho same day for Auckland direct. Fine weather was experienced in the Pacific, and she put up some good daily runs, her best boing 371 miles. In' spite of the stormy weather in tho early part of the voyage, she averaged 13.1 knots from Liverpool. Owing to her carrying troops she has only 3CCO tons of.- cargo. on board for Auckland, Sydnoy, Melbourne, and Adelaide. Captain'N. d? Tt appears that all that .was the matter with the passenger who was the cause of the Monowai being'put in quarantine at -Lyttelton 'on Sunday was 'gastric trouble. The vessel was released on Monday. She will next bo at Wellington on Saturday from both southern city porls, and will Eail the same day for Napier, Gisbome, and Auckland. RIVERINA DUE THIS MORNING.
Wireless advice from the Riveimia says that she will make Wellington, at 9 a.m. to-dav from Sydney. Incidentally it was mentioned that the health of (hose on hoard wan good, and if this eoutiuuex she will berth to-morrow morning. It is expected that the vessel will return to Sydney on Saturday. ' THE MANUKA, The Manuka, on returning to Wellington this morning from Lyttelton. will berth at No. 1 Queen's' Wharf and her advertised time of sailing for Sydney is 5 p.m.' THE WILLOCHRA. The transport Willochra will, arrive at Wellington on Monday evening next, April 14 (states a- wireleßS message). She is not bringing cargo, but will be loaded in New Zealand by Shaw-Savill for London. THE NAVUA. Having sailed from Lyttelton at 3 p.m. yesterday the Union steamer . Navua should arrive at Glasgow Wharf in r:ood time this jnorning to discharge Auckland cargo, and start loading for Melbourne for which port she will leave to-morrow.
