APPRECIATION FEOJI' GENERAJj PAU. London, April 5. Official: General Pan, wlio has just returned from his mission to Australia and New Zealand, took the earliest possible opportunity of palling upon Mr. Massey, as Prime Minister, to express, on behalf of himself and of tho members of tl'.e French Mission, their very high appreciation of the cordiality of their welcome to New Zealand and of tho arrangements made both by the Government and the local authorities in connection with tho mission.
