The annual meeting of. the Ngaio Club was hold last week, when there was a lar°e attendance of members. Mr. 1 , . J. Brooker (president) occupied the chair. Mr. H. Prince (lion, secretary) presented tho sixth annual report, which indicated that the clnVhnd been seriously lioniiicappetl during the past year by the dc,mands on mannower.for military service, and also by other war conditions. l'"e members left tho .list.net. but this loss was balanced by tho gain of five, new members, tho number on tho roll tieing thuß unchenged. Five matches. were played during the year, honours beins divided with tho Wellinstoii South Club, while tw) fixtures with .'the Working Men s Club and oiic ; BOTiiwt the WeM'Wjtm Club's "B" team were lost. The annual handicap tourney attracted ten entries and was won) by: H. Lt .Tan.es: Tho mcon<l and third urizes were divided by. Messrs. Topy nnd Lindsiiy, who each finished m> outpoint behind Mr. Jnmw.
