LANCASHIRE CLOTHING MILLS CLOSING
AN ECONOMIC CRISIS. London, April t. Mr E. R. B. Denniss, M.P., in an interview said.that the extensive Lancashire clothing mills were closing on account of the restrictions on exports lireventing tho influx of money. Sweden, Denmark, and Holland could absorb several millions' worth without any leakago to Germany. Japanese cotton goods were being sold in England below the Lancashire prices. The manufacturers were urging the Government to improve the cable service, and complain that ho delays prevent the stabilisation of tlio price of raw cotton.-Aus.-N.Z. CnWo Assn..
