The Vice-Chancellor (Sir Henry Miers) in announcing Mr.'Kitigsbury's gift cm trasted the readiness' of American business men lo forward research and university endowments with the lack of appreciation on the part of British manufacturers in the past, of their indebtedness to puro science.
