CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUR CONVENTION
JUNIORS' NIGHT. The Annual convention of tho Wellington Provincial Christian Endeavour Union wnfl continued last evening, when the junior members assembled at the Taranaki Street Methodist Schoolroom. Tho proceedings commenced with a tea at 5.30 p.m. There was a very large gathering of children and adults, and the function was a most happy one. Much delight was taken by tho children in Hie table decoration competition, which was won by the Taranaki Street Society, with tho Thoriidon Society second. All tho tables were prettily oecorated, flowers predominating. Following the tea there was a meeting of the juniors, who were addressed in turn by' tho Hev. Dr. Pinfold, the Kcv. A. M'Bean, and the Rev. S. Bcokinj,'ham, ■ The union socvetary then called the roll, and with the exception of oho society nil calls were answered. The Eggevs Missionary Shield, which is competed for annually by Iho junior societies throughout New Zeaand in connection with mission collections, was on display. The shield lias been won this year by tho Trinity Society. Several hymns were the organist being Miss "Thompson.
