A reclassification of employees in all branches of tho Public Service is being made at present, and in ordor that tho basis of payment in all Departments way lie kept uniform Cabinet called for a. ieport on this matter from a selected committee of officers of Departments. Tint report has been adopted. It is understood that the fixing of this basis applies rot only to members of tho Civil Service, but also , to school teachers, who are nominally in the employ of education boards. The will probably involve increases in salary in all branches of the service.
