ANNUAL MEETING OF.ASSd- ' .. OIATION. .The annual meeting of-the Victoria' University. College Graduates' Association whs held on-Monday evening. Mr. G. G. G. Watson presiding. - The. report ■of the committee stated that the number Of financial members now stand at 57, not including a number who were still' absent from New Zealand, and whose names .had. been kept on the rcCl. 'J fie question of the best method of 'raising funds for the Memorial Hall which it is proposed to' erect in honour of students who have fallen at the front had been under discussion by the committee. The chairman attended a conference with' representatives (if the College Council and Professorial Beard,;;but it was found : that the matter eoilld not be proceeded' with et present, ns the Minister of Internal AlMirs, acting under War Regulations; refused to srinotioii tho proposed collection of funds.

The chairman" represeiii."d the association at a conference with representatives of , the Professorial Board ,to settle a form of procedure that should be satisfactory to the various bodies interested. Regulations were, drawn up governing the selection of candidates from Victoria University .College which would be ratified by the College Council and printed in the V.U.C. Calendar. Tho election of officers'for the coming year re-ulted as follows:—President, Mr. G, G, G. Watson;.secretary arid treasurer, Miss G. F, Cooke; committee, Misses Hales, Clachaii, and Crawford, Messrs. Eichelbaum, •Cilddick, arid Ciintain Morris; auditor, Mr. V. B; Wilis. It was reported that the matter of Ihe Memorial Hall to bo erected at Victoria College in memory of sclents who had fallen W tho war could not be proceeded with at. present owing (o : the refusal of the Minister of' Internal Affairs to sanction the praising of funds. It was resolved that the-Question, of a great reunion of past and present students which is now rondoMl possible mviliir to the termination of the war, be givon special attention by the incoming committee.
