The fortnightly meeting of the Sucietj for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was held in the .secretary's office. The president, Jlr. F. .Moadowc-roft, occupied the chair. The inspector's report dealt with two cases of horses being lame, two ill-ti»c<l, two destroyed, two eases of cruelty to dogs and one of cruelty to fowls. * Subscriptions received amounted to A'lo 10s. Gil., including .£1 from Messrs. Munt,, Coltrell ami Co.
