PROFESSOR TURRADEN.
To-morrow overling at tho Grand Opera House Professor .durraclen, hypnotist, will open a'season in Wellington. Tho entertainment Professor Barraden presents is said to bo ontirely different _ from others seen here. Tho professor is presenting "Hello, Lizzie!" a hypnotic feature, which made a big hit in Christchurch and Dunedin. Again he will have local men on tho platform, and while under his influence they will be mado to imagine that they are all Charlie Chaplin. A southern paper, referring to Professor Barritden's entcftainmont, says:—"The professor asked for a class of local men to mount his platform and after getting a class proceeded to test them. Each one soon oamo under his influoncfi, jvnd did 6x«\ctly as ho asked, them. First they were old liens, then again they wore monkeys, and tho antics of the men caused tho audience to scream with laughter." The box plan for the ontiro season is on view at the Bristol, and is said to be filling rapidly. Soats i may bo reserved without any booking fee. EVEKBODY I S~THEATRE. An excellent story convincingly told and with plenty of unexpected thrills sums up "Alias Mary Brown," the Triangle feature screening this week at Everybody's Theatre. KING'S THEATRE. Miss Norma Talmadge is starred in "The Secret of the Storm Country,-' which is holding pride of place on tho programme at' tho King's Theatre this week. First-rate supports include the fourth opisode of "The Scarlet Runner," "Small Stream. Denizens," "The Making of Condensed Milk," and a lengthy "Gazette." Miss Anne Sullivan scores Heavily by her artistic -rendering of "Love's Garden of Roses" and 'The Bells of St. Mary." X EMPRESS THEATRE. ' ' Madge EvanS is include© in the cast of "The' Power and the Glory," tha World film attraction now showing at the Empress Theatre. June Elvidge has the leading part, and is supported by Johnny Hinds and Prank Mayo. Tho story holds the interest right through. Tho supporting programme includes n Keystone two-reel comedy, "She Needed a Doctor" and the latest "Topical."
