Mr. Brinsden Fletcher, the new. editor of the ''Sydney Morning Herald," is a New Zealander, hiiving received his education «t, Thames and Auckland. Mr. N. Burnet Gadsby, of Te Kuiti, ■who has been studying nudicine at Aberdeen University, l has passed his final examinations. Previous .to going to Scotland to study, Dr. Gadsby was head prefect at Wellington College. During the war he put in ,over a year on. a warship' doing patrol work in the North Sea, and had many excitingf experiences, lor more than once the. man-of-war narrowly ' escaped destruction. Mr. W. R. Haig, for 37 years fitter in. the New Zealand railways, and 15' years in charge of the finishing bench at Addington 'Workshops, has been, appointed! instructor for the engineering classes at Wanganui Technical College; Mr. Haig' retired on superannuation about a year ego.'.' ■... ;■ :
