FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 PM. YESTERDAY. Present indications arc lor variable winds, with easterly winds prevailing northward of Kaipara. and East Cape, and norlherliea and westerlies elsewhere. Pair to cloudy weather is probablo generally and unsettled, with showers in the northern and southernmost districts. Baromotcr little movement at present. Conditions have been unsettled at limes in Southland, but fair weather has ruled, with moderate and variable breezes. Atmospheric pressure has continued high everywhere B. 0. HATJSS.
