ANNUAL MEETING OF DELEGATES Tho annual meeting of delegates to tho Wellington Rugby Football Union was held last night, Dr. A. Iv. Newman presiding. = ' Tho report and . balance-sheet, details of which have, been published in The Dominion, were adopted without discussion. . Officers were elected as followl resident, Dr. A. K. Newman, (reelected)); vice-presidents, Colonel G. .I'0. Campbell, C.M.G., Dr. P, F. Jl'Evedy, Messrs. J. P- Firth and E. 0. Hales (reelected); vice-president to N.Z.R.I'. 11., Colonel G. F. C. Campbeil (re-elected); treasurer, Mr. W. F. llornig; delegates to N.Z.R.F.U., Dr. P. F. M'Evedy, Messrs. A. C. Kittu, E. 0. Hales, W. I'. Hornig, and J. 11. Lynskeyj Athletic Park trustee, Dr A. lv. Newman (reelected); Executive Committee, Messrs. j; N. Millard, A. G. Griffiths W. H. Donovan, E. Perry, W. W. Cook, J. Lundon, G. Jackson, H. Buck, and Russell; auditor, Mr. 0. G. Keniber (reelected); delegate to Referees' Appointment Board, Mr. E. Perry. It was decided to leave the appointment of three selectors to the incoming Executive Committee. In thanking the meeting for having re-eiccted him to the position of president, Dr. Newman mentioned that the union was now in a satisfactory financial condition, and everything was "going along swimmingly." He referred to the death of the late Mr. D. D. Weir, whose decease, he said, was to be deplored, as he had done great service for the causc of Rugby.
OLD BOYS' ANNUAL MEETING. A big muster of players attended the annual meeting of the Old Boys' Football Club held on Wednesday night, when the twenty-first annual report was received. The finances of the club were stated to be in a very satisfactory condition, and altogether the season will open with excellent prospects. This coming, season the club intends running at leastthree teams, including senior. Officers Y/ero elooted as follow: President, Mr. J. P. Firth; .vice-presidents, Mr. M. G. Bnrnett and Dr. Young; club captain, Mr, 15. S. Brialey; hon. secretary, Mr. Stan. C. Coleman; hon. treasurer, Mr. K. Chote; Jion. auditor, Mr. 11. Desborough; management committee, Messrs. Chegweddin, Loe Emerson,' Deighton, and Ilenai; delegates to W.R.F.U., Messrs. W.'W. Cook, Prendeville, and Stun. C. Coleman. The proposed new rules were discussed, all of which' were rejected, excepting thoso relating.to advantage law and exNorthern Union players. After most enthusiastic proceedings tlio meeting closed with a. hearty vote oi thanks to the chairman, Mr. M. C. Bnrnett.
