LYALL BAY COMMITTEE MEETS.
4. fairly woll attended meeting of the Lyall Bay Epidemic Committee was held last nigtit for the purpose of discussing methode of organisation in the event ot there being a recurrence of influenza this year. Mr. A. A. Gellntly presided. It was decided to obtain a list ot ownerey of motor-cars who would be willing to render their services if required. The committee also decided that the balance of the Lyall Bay epidemic fund, amounting to £M Vs. lid., should l>o held in the Post Office Savings Bank in case the money should bo needed Inter

The AVomen's National Reserve wrote offering to give lectures on the subject of nursing, and it was announced that the Lyall Bay School Committee wore willing to provide a. room in which to hold the classes of. instruction. With reference to the offer of the Hospital Board to train woman in nursing, it was decided to' ask if such instruction at tho Hospital could be given without rendering it necessary for the women to remain at the institution for two •weeks. . .' "
