The Australian steamer Ooma is at Lyttelton loading tallow and pelts for Home ports. It is understood that sho will load a record cargo of tallow. The number of casks is stated to bo 13,000. In addition she will take a large shipment of preserved meat and general cargo. The American schooner Irene, which is at present anchored in tho Lyttelton rtrfcim awaiting orders, dragged • her anchor during tho curly hours of Saturday morning, and had a narrow escape of drifting ashore (says tho "Tjyttclton Times"). Tho sails wero hoisted, and after an hour and a half of lacking tho veßb-cl was. returned to her former anchorage.
