For some'time past tho need of 'additional laud for yards and destructor ■works has been felt at Clyde Quay, and the area now to be secured will mnko provision necessary for many years to come. . A price for this land was submitted by the hoard to the council some five years ago, anil the council has no reason to think that the land has increased i;i value during that period,
