News to hand by, tho Australian mail states' that an outbreak of influenza on board the steamer Yankalilla during her stay on the Pacific .Coast resulted.in tho death of the chief officer (Mr. N. M'leoui, -tho'wireless operator (Mr.- A. Daly), and ; one of the crew (C. WanleßS). The Yankalilla, which is ouo of the Adelaide fi.S. Company's cargo boats, 'returned to Sydney on llarch 4 from Canada a clean ship. - Captain Joliffe, speaking of tho outbreak.on.board stated that the. infection was picked up. at, Vancouver, and as many as 21 but of a crew of 36 suffered from the disease.
