The management, therefore, in accord- ' aide' with tho promise given by the Minister, has invited the committee of the i Hallway Officers' Institute to meet in i conference for the purpose of finally discussing the revised schedule of pay and conditions as they affect the members ■of the First Division. This interview 'will'take place to-day. •To-morrow the management will meet ' in conference the executive of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, and disouss the rates of pay mid conditions as affecting the Second Division. At the" termination of these conferences the Minister will submit to the executives of the three railway societies concerned, namely, tho Railway Officers' Institute, the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, and the Engine-drivers, Firemon, and Cleaners' Association, a schedule setting forth the alterations in :'pay and- conditions which he is prepared to submit to Cabinet. After the schedule Las been considered and endorsed by Cabinet it will require to bo embodied in an: Act and submitted to the Fcusc for approval t of Parliament. The new schedule will be submitted by the Minister to all three societies on or before March 31, and when approved by.Parliament will be'operative as from April 1, 1919. -
