ZOO CURATOR
A large and influential deputation of business men and residents of Wellington interested in the "Zoo" waited upon Mr. J. Laiigridge, the curator (who has handed iu Ilia resignation), and asked him to reconsider his decision. Members of the deputation laid stress on the faith they lind in .Mr. Langridjo as curator, and expressed tho opinion that: the excellent institution he had helped to build up would suffer if ho carried out his declared intention of resigning. Iu reply Mr. LansridKc thanked the deputation for their kindness and the faith they had in his 'work, but as he had to meet, the Reserves Committee later iu the week, ho could l not there and then give them a definite reply.
