' New York, March 18. Interviewed at Paris, Mr. Hoover (the United States Food Controller) said that the United States must feed more tiian one hundred million people in Europe. He said that the critical months for the world would bo April, 31 ay, and June. •\fter that peoplo would begin to reap the harvest, thereby improving the situation He said that the United States was now bearing the burden of delivering foodstuffs, but the task, was too great tor one country to bear. France and Italy only had enough tonnage tor their own needs and the sacrifice, therefore, must come from British and American tonnage. —Aus.-N.SS. Cable Assu.
