Plumbers and Gasfitlers, Tron andjlrass Moulders, and Coachbuiloers' Unions applied to Ihe Arbitration Court for increased vases or bonuses oil account of the increased co?t of living. The employers objected to accepting the Wellington award in tho plumbers and ga.sfiteers' ease, saying that Wellington was the most costly place in the country and wages naturally were high there. The president said lie would ask the Government, Statistician to attend the Court liere and given statistics showing the increased cost in Christchurch.
