ME. P. LEVI TO STAND AGAIN. A representative deputation of Eastbourne ratepayer* waited yesterday morning oii Mr. l\ Levi, Mjijior of Eijstbourne, and asked him to stand for another term of office. Tlie.v pointed out that lie had occupied the position during two strenuous years of the war period, and that ho had not had a jjood opportunity of showing what could be done in the development of the'borough/ There were several things, the deputation pointed out, that should now be pushed forward, amongst them water 6upply arid an improved ferry service. Mr. Levi, in accepting the invitation of the deputation, said ho understood that Mr. P. H. Mather, who had been asked to stand, had indicated that he would only accept nomination on the understanding that he (Mr. Levi) was not a candidate.
