DESULTORY FIGHTING IN BERLIN IRON. Many of •tho Spartacusian victims were buried secretly. .. There is a strong revulsion of feeling against tho nilhlessness of tho Government troops and tho summary executions, especially in Lichtenberg, where scores: of innocent men and children were.killed.- Tho peoplo of Berlin believe that the extremists are gaining strength throughout the country, and will engineer another outbreak. It is significant that trade unions and co-operative societies are dismissing the majority o£ their 1 Socialist oflicials and installing Independent Socialists. The grenades used by tlio Government troops did nut explode, andvthe.oariridges were found to be full of sand* Both wero manufactured by Spartacist workmen at Spandau. Secondly, when a number of Povemlueiit horses were shot down, and whilo bullets wore whizzing overhead, people emerged from the houses and hacked tho horses for food.
