The weather was fine, after light showers, for the third day of the Y'.K.C. Autumn Jtecting. Nick-a-Jack won the. Hurdles for tho third year in succession, llo'was ridden by George Scobie, who liuce' trained at.Riccarton. The favourite, §ir Ibex, finished brilliantly in the C. Jl. ljloyd Stakes, and beat -Molly's liobe. in tho filial furlong. Tho last three furlongs took 36} sec. I l '. Dempsey was in. the shddlo. The Autumn Handicap was an interesting race. Buonlree had a big lead in Ihe early stages, but missed i a place.. Accrington looked a winner at the* distance, but l'arkdalo won in the la-it half-furlong. Eikin ran out at tho finish of the Nursey Handicap. In tho Governor's Plato the final mile ivas run in fast time, the last half- taking oljscc. - Snub,-who was third favourite, pulled up well. NOTES ON THE RACING. The YJI.C. Meeting was continued at Flenungton yesterday. 'J'Jie Hurdle I!ane was won for the third year in succession by Nick-a-Jack, who was piloted hy the ex-Ricearton trainer, George Scobic. In the (J. M. Lloyd Stakes, Sir Ibex had his revenge for the t'.efeat inflicted on tt" 1 & Molly's/Kobe in the Newmarket Handicap. Greenstead was again 111 third position. The time registered was slow. The Autumn Handicap was won by Parkdale, a .five-year-old gelding by the New Zealand-bred sire Royal Artillery. The oilier, two placed'horses, Accriiigton and Ibeonib, are two of the English importations of -Messrs. /(obi)ismi and Clark. The pair dead-heated for first place in the V.lt.C. Bagot Handicap in January Inst. 111 the March Ntwserv Handicap two of Mr. K. K. 1). Clarke's youngsters filled first and third places. I.lkiii, the winner, is a brother to Three llmce. Two, and Deiieb. Malliel, who split the pair, is by Malt King (who won, among other events,' the A.J.C. Metropolitan Handicap and Champagne mi iil' ils 11 yearling. i'lo Wairarapa-owncd Snub proved to be too good for tlie three other competitors in tlio Governor's Plate, which was won by ..Desert Gold Inst year. Eusebius, who •finished second, won the St. Leger 011 flio opening day of the meeting, whilst Mistico, the third horse, won tlie St. Gcoiyo Stakes at Caulfield a fortnight ago, and the Bourke Handicap 011 Wednesday. Snub should run well in the Kind's.Plate, Iwo miles, to bo dcoided 011 Saturday. Tlie itnal event was won by Lancer flume, a Bovoii-year old, gelding b.v Positano.
