ATHLETIC FOOTBALL CLUB

The annual meeting of the memliiOre of the Athletic Football Club was lie/Id last evening in the Y.M.C.A. rooms, 3|ir. W. S. Rialer being in the chair. The annual report stated that tb is third class team was successful in winu ttig tho grade championship for the first time in the history of the club. During 1 tho past season six members of the cirib went "West," viz., J. Leys, H. Lenuox, G. Orsborne, 1?. Robinson, J. Smith', -Hid J. Tucker. It was the intention of the committee (o erect an honours I joiard on which the names of all memberai and exmombers who joined tho colourfe would be placed. . The finances of the club aire in a healthv condition, owing mailer to the foresight of the committee in lf.tiing the gymnasium for storage purposes, the ren-. tnl amounting to i'Bl. Tho re ceipts for the year, including "the balance brought forward, totalled .£lB5 13s. Id., aud the credit balance at the close dl* the year totalled the. handsome sum of' .6128 15s. 2d. The liabilities of the club amount tu <£501, and the assets total-. ,£IOO2 lis. 2d.

The report and hect were adopted.
