DATE OF THEIR RETURN. "The position with regard to the return 1 of troops from tho Egyptian theatre," said the Minister of Defence (Sir James Allen) yesterday, "is that on March 7 the Kaikoura left Egypt for New- 1 Zealand with 1113 men of all ranks. There lire still remaining approximately 2500 .troops to be embarkeck but the Defence Department has no information as to what shipping is available, nor when the remaining troops are likely to sail."
