CLYDESDALE HORSE SOCIETY

(By Telegraph—Spccinl Oorroapondent.) Palmerston North, March 19. A mooting of the General. Committee of the Clydesdale Horse Society of New Zealand was held in Palmerston. The president, Sir. J. A. Knight, of l-'oiltling, occupied the chair, and there were also present Messrs. J. A. Johnston (Dunedin), A, Hunter (Hawera), and''J, W. Harding (Waipukurnu). It was decided to allot the ten-guinea cup in the mares class to Auckland this year, last year's show in that district having been abandoned. It was reported that a cable had been cent, to Scotland for dies for special prize medals, and that on their . receipt tho medals would 'be .struck and distributed to those who had won them. It was announced that one life and eight, ordinary had joined tho society, while two members had resigned. Mr. Hunter gave notice to move at the next meeting: "That tho.fee for alteration of a. iiame of a registered numbered animal as fixed by the Editing Committee 011 July 19, 1918, be increased from Ms. to .£5." On the suggestion of Mr: Hunter it was decided to exhibit the various cups ami trophies at the different winter shows in New Zealand. The next meeting of the council will be held at Ashhbiii'ton,
