FIRE IN MASTERTON
(By Telegraph—Special Correspondent.) Masterton, March 19. A liro broke out this evening in tho premises of James A\ hittaker, in Queen Street. The fire brigade was guicklv on the spot and suppressed the flames i'ust in time to prevent a disastrous conila°ration. The stock, which was insured for .£IOO, was damaged by fire and water to the extent of about <£100. Darnell a Buildings, adjoining, had a narrow escape.
