"TARZAN OF THE APES." The popularity of the photo-play, "Twain of the Apes," was again' evidenced lust evoning by ■ ttio attendance ut the Grand Opera House. The picture presontution of Hie story is distinctly clover,and tho producers, with tho assistance of a very capable actor, many wild animals, and striking jungle scenes, have achieved remarkable bucccss. Tho picture portrays numerous verv thrilling scenes and intensely interesting incidents. "Tai-zan of the Apes" is produced to the accompaniment of a full orchestra. The picture will be screened every evening till Saturday, when a matinee performance will be .given. KING'S THEATRE. Crowded audiences'testify nightly to tho popularity of the fme combination of pictures, song, and music at the Kings Theatre. "The Whirlpool" features Alice Brady, and the story gives wide scope for the display of her histrionic talent. Supporting items include the latest Gaumoiit Graphic, showing New Zealand's Press delegation in London; also a splendid locally-taken picture showing beautiful Eastbourne. An added attraction -is the appearance of Miss .Ivy Kodder. an Australian contralto, who is heard nightly in "My Ships and The Way Home." A splendid selection is, rendered bv the King's grand orchestra. A full orchestral matinee is advertised for this afternoon at 2.15, when the programme will be precisely as at night. EVERYBODY'S THEATRE; Charlie Chaplin in "A Dog's Life" is responsible for big business at Everybody's Theatro this week. Liko all other Chaplin pictures it is useless to describe it-suffice to my that the humorous antics and wonderfully mobile face of the humorist of the screen permeate tho wholo picture, making it ono wild riot of mirth and laughter. An additional feature is a Triangle masterpiece, entitled "You Can't Believe Everything, starring Gloria Swonson. Tho plot is an ingenious one, and teoms with excitement from start to finish. Also showing is episode thrca of "Tho House of Hate." An added attraotion nightly at 9.10 is the appearonce of Miss Flo flow in.tho character sketch, "Yes, Papa." EMPRESS THEATRE. ■"The Girl in His Houso" is the title of tho outstanding featurojat the Empress Theatre. o'ha.rlio Chaplin is seen in "The Rink," a very clever comedy. Another interesting item, is a film showing tho arrival and landing of the Main Body draft.
DOLORES RETURN CONCERTS.
To the large number of people who were disappointed whou Mdlle*Antonia Dolores could not appear at her final recital here last month, as well as to her numerous ndmireiß, it will bo welcome news to know that the famous French soprano will give return concerts hero at tho Grand Opera House on March 25, 27, and 23 Entirely new programmes throughout will be givbn at these three, farewell recitals, and these should prove an education to All students, especially followm% on the recent competitions, while to other music lovers these recitals wi 1 doubtie« prove'of very special interest. Seats for these three farewell concerts can be booked at the Bristol Piano Co. troni to-morrow, while concessions are also announced for studonts and schools. Full advantage will no doubt be takon of tlio latter by all schools and parents and academies. Jldlle.
