SHEEP TICK. Some sheepowners believe tick can livo nway from sheep, but this is a mistakeu idea, says the Victorian Department of Agriculture. Tick isolated die very soon, as expert, incuts by Dr. Sweet and Messrs. Seddon and-Hill, of tho University Veterinary School, show. Most of them were dead within four days. Only 17 out of '151 were alive after seven days, and the last died within eleven days. "Tho practical lesson to bp derived," says Mr. Robertson, "is that when an owner dips all his sheep in an efficient dipping mixture, it is not difficult to clean his whole flock. As the presence of tick on sheep depreciates tho valuo of wool and carcasses about 2s. Od. per head, dipping is a paying proposition. But it must be a dip rf unquestionable efficiency—such as Qiiibcll's Powder Dip—tho favourite of all successful sheep owners. Order to-day. Solo Agents in Australasia, Dnlgety and Co., Ltd.—Advt.
