FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Prcsont indication!! are for strong west to south-west winds. Weather stormy in and southward of Oook Strait. Expect heavy showers, especially on the West Coast and southern districts. Barometer unsteady, but probably rising soon in the south. A -westerly storm area has ruled in the south, and boisterous weather haß prevailed southward of New Plymouth and Castlepoint.
