PRESIDENT WILSON BENT ON SEEING IT THROUGH '
London, March 16. Desiring a closer study of the preliminary pernio terms and consideration of the inclusion of tho League of Nationsscheme in them, President Wilson did not attend tho meeting of the Supreme War Council on Saturday. Othea; members of the Council do not see the necessity for its inclusion, but President Wilson is anxious to see the scheme safely and definitely through at, the earliest moment. Owing to President Wilson's absence, the Council postponed tho adoption of tho final draft of the military, naval, and air terms'until, Monday afternoon.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. ' GERMANY'S VOLUNTEER ARMY ENLISTMENT BASIS A MENACE. Now York, March 15. The United Press correspondent at Paris states that French opinion believes that tho plan to permit Germany to organise a voluntary army of 100,000 men for a twelve-year enlistment, will iresuit within fife years in Germany having a well-officered army of soveral million men. It is. pointed out that tho long period of enlistment will encourngo many young men to take up ,a military career and tho training will practically be an officer's course.
