' SOME TELLING FIGURES. - (Ree. March 17, 8.25 p.m.) Washington, March - 15. ■ The United Slates Tariff Commission lias issued a report dealing with Japan's foreign trade, which increased from •£131,000,000 in 1913 to .£263,800,000 in 1917. Tho exports amounted to .£63.200,000 in 1913, to .£160,200,000 in 1917. Import:; were £72,800,000 in 1913, and ■£103,400,000 in 1917. Tho greatest gain was in the exports to China. Tho exports'to Britain and India amounted to .£2,800,000 in 1913, and in 1917. The exports to Australia amounted' to ,£BOO,OOO in 1913 and to in 1917.—Au5.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
