The AYestport Coal Company's steamer Canopus, wiiich has been held up here siuco Thursday owing to the stokehold crew- fiijjniiig off on the vessel's arrival from Timaru, is to get away this evening. Koine time ago a complidnt li.ade by the men regarding the method of bunkerins the vessel, enough coal being put in blinkers at AYestport to last the round trip, this necessitating a lot of work for the men in the latt»? Jtfrtion of the journey. At a. meeting this morning between the men and the empany's officials, it was decided that in future the vessel's bunkers should be replenished at her final port. Under these conditions tho stokehold crew signed on.
