: AMALGAMATION WILL BE , GAZETTED NHX.T WEEK. 1 ' The amalgamation of Onslow Borough r with Wellington will bo officially gazetted I ou Thursday next. Consequent upon this , Onslow Borough will cease, to exist as a ' borough on March 31 (the end of the [ official vear), and between that dale, and election'day (April 30), three members of the Onslow Borough Council aro to be ' entitled lo sit as members of the Wellington City Council. The members who will sit as representatives of the borough will be the present Mayor (Mr. J. M. Dale) and Messrs. -T. C. Gardiner and AV. Appleion. Under tho agreement, with tho City Council the borough clerk (Mr. H. Abraham) and tho permanent officers of the Onslow Borough automatically become employees of tho AVellington City Corporation.
