I placed on-the J.B.C. Car,>'a run of 76 miles being made, including j 5 four stiff hills, and. the amount of petrol consitmed was 2 gallons | S ' •''-7' pints; The extra-speed noted was really surprising, and the power J I on the_ hills was a decided improvement. The provious running of s car witlj —: Carburetter was 17 miles to the-gallon; the jet was i then made smaller, .with = the lesnlt of 19J miles to the gallon. This .. 5 | was the tot that the writer could obtain. - On. the ■ "Master" it' j • i works out at practically smiles, to' tho gallon, increase of 6 miles ■ j i • per gallon., During .the run we.found that on half acceleration the -. ( | lever control was put down to'the leanest mixture .possible, and it | is quite probable inat_we could do with a smaller distributor, and j ' would get more economical running still. The one at present in ihe s t carburettor is-marked "S."
