CANOPUS HELD UP
STOKEHOLD CREW GIVE NOTICE. By Telejrranh-Press Association. Christchiirch, March 13. After tho arrival of tho Westport Coal Company's steamer Canopus from Timavu to-dav tho entire stokehold crew gave 24 hours' notice to Sign off the vessel s articles. On being questioned by the chict engineer, tho men stated that they had no grievance against tho vessel, but simplv wished to get signed off. Tho vessel" will bo held up until a new stokehold crew can be obtained. Thero is a cargo of coal at present waiting for tho Canopns at Westport.
