Wright, M.l 1 ., who congratitlated the society on ite enterprise and on the very successful exhibition.. He said tiiat eubnrl>aji shows of the kind were becoming very popular,, and should do excellent woi'k and act as

The show relloeteil great credit on the Wadestown, amateur . gardeners. There were some wonderfully line geraniums of largo sizo and beautiful colouring. They suffered through nil being in one y!\.se, but the individual blooms would have lield their OWIi anywhere. The. dalilins made n fine exhibit, the cactus and collarette varieties Iwlh being very good. There was a good exhibit of asters—indeed, it looked as though the root fungus that had been so troublesome to most growers hud left Wadestown alone. There was a. good entry of sweet j)eas and some fine stocks and polnrgottimiis were shown, one very dark velvety blossom with a white eiije being; much admired.- There was a fine bowl of lilium atiratum platyphyllnm for exhibition only, and Mrs! Gregory showed a plant of pantes carnea which had some exquisite heads of delicate blossom. Mr. J. 0. Mackell; zio, Director of Parks and Kescrves. judged the flower section, Mr. Emley being for the second time the winner, of the society's ' champion rose bowl. Should he win it again next year ho will win it outright. There was a small but vOfv good cnti'.y in the 'homo industries section, which was judged by Miss Lukul. Thefo was a most excellent exhibit of vegetables, tho winner of Jl)'. H. S. llislop's cup for the best going''to Mr. .1. E. tll.iss.. In this section Mr.- Fred Westburv, of To-ita, Was the judge, aud cx- | pressed himself as greatly pleased, lit tho i|iialitv shown. Miss, Murray judged the I.dccora'led tables and buttonholes, the result lining, for the former, .Mi'S. J. G. Cookb'l, and Mrs. A. L. Wicks 2; and for the hitter. Mr. J. E. BaSS 1, Ml'. A. Sirelt 2.
