POLAND STRICKEN WITH DISEASE
APPALLING DEATH-RATE. (Rec. March 13, 0.30 a.m.) New York, March 10. . The New York "Herald's" Warsaw correspondent says that tho conditions in Poland are tinctured with misery, hunger, suffering, unemployment, and the poison of Bolshevism. There are one hundred thousand cases of typhus, as well as epidemics of influenza and pneumonia, and the death-rato is tremendous. There is a lack of food and medical supplies.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
