OVERCROWDING IN SCHOOLS
REPORTED BY AUCKLAND BOARD'S INSPECTOR. By Telegraph-Press Association ' Auckland, March, 12. The Education Board lias received advice that an officer of the Department will visit Auckland to inquire into the question of overcrowding in schools. A report presented to the board by its in- ' speotor shows overcrowding in a number of schools under its jurisdiction, and this officer stated that some children suffered from defectivo eyesight owinjr to the wretched lighting arrangements in Some of the older schools.
